(Ages 12-18)
The 2017-2018 youth ministry year begins on September 17 and ends on May 20.
There is no tuition or registration fee to enroll a child in any of our youth programs. This is a ministry of the congregation staffed by adult volunteers who feel called to teach and mentor young people, and who are trained in safe church practices.
Our ministries to and with teens are designed to help them discern, within a Christian context, issues of
- Identity (Who am I?)
- Autonomy (How am I unique?)
- Affinity (To whom & where do I belong?)
- Vocation (What am being called to do with my life?)
Tweens and teens in Grades 6 to 12 are full participants in Sunday morning worship and are encouraged to use their time and talents to support the life of the parish by
- Singing in Schola
- Providing instrumental accompaniment during worship
- Being crucifers, torch bearers, thurifers, and chalice servers
- Reading lessons and leading prayers during worship
- Ushering and greeting
- Assisting in the Nursery, in Youth Chapel, or in Church School classes
- Helping to host social hour
- Participating in church-sponsored service projects
Training is always provided.
BaseCamp: A place to refresh and refuel, to regroup and retool. A place of refuge and respite, to revive the spirit for the journey ahead.
One Sunday each month our young people and their adult mentors gather at BaseCamp for a shared meal, conversation, and prayer. BaseCamp is designed to help participants connect Sunday worship with the realities of the rest of the week, and to support one another in a covenant of prayer. Between meetings young people and adults stay in contact with one another by phone, through social media, and in face-to-face conversations at church.
BaseCamp meetings in 2016-2017: 12noon to 1pm on September 17, October 22, November 19, December 17, January 21, February 25, March 18, April 22, & May 13
GRADES 6 – 8
At All Saints we recognize that early adolescence is a time of tremendous growth and challenge. In so many ways, kids who are 12, 13 & 14 years old are growing and discovering new things about themselves and the world around them. Marking the beginning of the journey toward adulthood and keeping them company as they make their way becomes vitally important.
Rite-13 weekend: A time to mark the entry into the teen years
Each year we honor all kids who are celebrating their 13th birthday.
- Rite-13 banquet, Saturday, Feb. 10
- Rite-13 ceremony, Sunday, Feb 11 during worship
“Our Time” – Middle school youth group on Fridays, 6:30 to 9:00pm
- A shared ministry with The Church of Our Saviour, Brookline
- Open to all youth in grades 6-8 from both parishes, and their guests
- September 22, October 20, November 17, December 15, January 19, March 16, Apr 27, May 18

GRADES 9 -12

We do all that we can to support our older teens as they grow in their faith and use it to guide daily life in a way that feels authentic and empowering. We help them find ways to use their God-given talents and interests to live fully as agents of Christ’s love and justice in the world.
By virtue of their full participation in the worship life and mission work of the parish, some of our young people have prepared for the sacramental rite of Confirmation. The Rector and the Children, Youth & Family Minister will be meeting with them in in 2018 to help them make final preparations.
High School service projects in 2017-2018
