Nov 2, 2014 (All Saints Sunday)
O blest communion, fellowship divine! We feebly struggle, they in glory shine. Yet all are one in thee, for all are thine. Alleluia! Alleluia!
(Hymn 287, verse 4)

![]() On Sunday morning we will celebrate All Saints Day, and also the 120th anniversary of our parish’s founding. In the late afternoon, musicians from all over the Boston area will gather for a Memorial Vespers service and Mozart Requiem, in honor of our beloved music director, Don Teeters, who passed away earlier this fall. What a day it will be!
As members of the communion of saints, we recognize that God’s love is timeless. God is in what has gone before. God is in what is happening now. And God is in what is to come. Over a century ago people built our church on Beacon Street. Today we are renovating it so it will stand firm into the future. We celebrate Don’s 40 year ministry in and from this church even as we begin to search for our next music director. We raise up in prayer all who are dear to us who have passed on to greater glory, as we welcome new “dear ones” into our faith community.
This is a BIG SUNDAY for us! It’s very important that we all worship together, so I have canceled all Church School classes. I will see you in church on Sunday. Until then, may God’s peace be with you.
