Mother’s Day Walk for Peace, May 11
Last year, at the request of Bishop Shaw and Bishop Harris we at All Saints Parish were asked to join many Episcopal members in the diocese to join the Mother’s Day Walk for Peace in Dorchester, Ma. Personally, I had walked on other occasions alone on behalf of clients who had lost children to violence, so I was happy to have a cohort of ASP members also present. This year, the Walk will occur on May 11th, and I invite as many of you who are willing to join again in this important event.
Our participation in this walk is part of a larger diocesan initiative called B-PEACE, launched last year as a campaign to end gun violence through youth programs, support for families, jobs for teens, and supporting under resourced public schools. This campaign grew out of the tragic shooting death of Jorge Fuentes, a young leader in the B-SAFE and B-READY programs supported by our diocese and our parish.
If you would like to join us, please register for the Walk by donating to, and registering with the BPEACE for Jorge Campaign team. We will have our own group to be with on that day. Please also let us know you will be coming by emailing Honor McClellan.
