Mission and Outreach
We have received good news from the diocesan Mission Tithe Grant Committee, that All Saints and the Friends of Tanzania in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts have been awarded a $10,000 matching grant award to support the building of a nursery school in the Anglican parish of St Francis Xavier in Kizara, Tanzania. This adds to the $11,000 already raised from individual donors – Episcopalians in the dioceses of Massachusetts, Fort Worth, Dallas and New York as well as individuals of other faiths and no faith.

Work has already begun on the building and is expected to be completed in another 6 months. The foundation was blessed and the school named in honor of Bishop M. Thomas Shaw during a recent mission trip to the Anglican Diocese of Tanga in January, 2014. Bishop Maimbo Mndolwa presided at a celebration Eucharist in the parish church and Bishop Mark Hollingsworth of Ohio was the preacher. Both bishops participated in the dedication ceremony attended by a large crowd of clergy, parishioners, Kizara villagers, congregations and choirs from neighboring parishes as well as members of the mission team from Massachusetts, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Six members from All Saints were present, including Wendy Wheeler, Colin Johnstone, Emily Howe, Guy Parry, Carol Pineiro and Jim Daniell.
