Epiphany (which means ‘manifestation’) brings the Christmas season to an end on Twelfth Night. On Sunday, 5 January (the Eve of the Epiphany) following the 10:30 am service we will celebrate the coming of the Magi with cupcakes during a special festive social hour. Those finding beans in their cupcakes are crowned and process the Magi figures to the creche.
The season of Epiphany celebrates the growing light of Christ, not only the growing Christ child, but the light of Christs’ love that spreads throughout the world. Epiphany draws to a close on 5 March with a pancake supper and celebration of Shrove Tuesday.
